$40 for 20 Hours: Valor Mortis Developers Explain Why They Didn't Overprice Their Soulslike

The game will be released on October 13.

The developers note that over the past year, they have repeatedly discussed the project's cost and believe that its 20-hour story campaign, quality of execution, and depth allow the game to compete with major full-priced releases. Therefore, asking for $39.99 / €39.99 / 149.99 PLN for the game is quite reasonable. However, the autumn season turned out to be particularly busy, so the developers decided to set a more accessible price.

At the same time, the team decided not to open pre-orders. Players are encouraged to wait for the release version to independently assess the quality, creativity, and depth of Valor Mortis, and then purchase the game with a full understanding of the project.

A Deluxe Edition was also introduced, priced at $59.99 / €59.99 / 199.99 PLN. It will include a major story expansion planned for next year, as well as several cosmetic packs that will be released before its launch.
