Euro Truck Simulator 2 received graphics improvements, an anniversary truck, and a new livestock trailer - update 1.61 released

New content with Volvo and more has been prepared for ETS 2.

The developers of the truck driver simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 released update 1.61 in mid-September. Previously, players could evaluate this update during open beta testing.

SCS Software celebrated Volvo Trucks' 100th anniversary by adding the Volvo FH Series 6 100 Year Edition to ETS 2. Night and Day cabin paint options are available. New accessories and a separate interior option were also introduced in the game.

In addition, a new Proximity Exploration feature was introduced for map exploration. When activated, it will mark roads in a certain area around the truck as “explored”. Thanks to this, players will no longer have to drive through each road element themselves for it to be reflected in the map exploration statistics (this is an optional feature).

Graphic improvements were also introduced: the developers updated the materials of the Volvo FH Series 4, Series 5, and FH Series 6 to make the cabin interiors look more realistic.
