Marvel's Wolverine Enters Guinness World Records - Logan Sets New Record

Marvel's Wolverine became the sixth game in which Wolverine took on the main role, thanks to which the character set a new record and entered the Guinness World Records.

The history of solo games about Logan began back in 1991 with Wolverine for NES, created by Software Creations. It was a two-dimensional platformer where the hero was trapped on a remote island, and other X-Men helped him with hints.

In Marvel's Wolverine, Liam McIntyre voiced Wolverine. Previously, Steve Blum was closely associated with the character, having voiced Logan in 22 games and holding the record for the number of acting performances as Wolverine in video games.

Insomniac Games' new game uses elements from the X-Men universe: Mystique and a powerful Sentinel appeared in promotional materials. The studio also applied its experience from working on Marvel's Spider-Man to create a more brutal story.

Wolverine also holds a Guinness record in cinema: "Deadpool & Wolverine" with Hugh Jackman grossed over $1.338 billion and became the highest-grossing R-rated film.
