For comparison, Black Ops 7 with campaign, multiplayer, and zombie mode installed takes up about 215 gigabytes.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final part of the Final Fantasy VII remakes, will be significantly more demanding in terms of free space than previous games in the series. In an interview with VGC, game director Naoki Hamaguchi stated that the game's size will likely be around 200 GB.

Hamaguchi-san explained the necessity of such a size by saying that the team has to some extent "overcome hardware limitations." Rebirth, for example, took up about 150 gigabytes.

Separately, the developer commented on the decision to release a physical version of the game on a single Blu-ray disc for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Because of this, owners of physical copies will need to download a significant amount of additional data. According to Hamaguchi, despite the debate surrounding physical media and the uncertainty of their future, it was important for the team to offer players at least some physical product.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled for release on April 8, 2027, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
