Take-Two Boss Hints at GTA VI PC Release
Rockstar Games is currently preparing for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI in November of this year. However, only console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S have been announced so far. Nothing has been said about a PC version yet.
However, in a recent statement by the Take-Two boss, players saw a "signal" about a PC release. Strauss Zelnick spoke with investors, and during the Q&A session, he was asked about the PlayStation 5 console shortage and release strategies.
A shareholder inquired whether the console shortage would affect the timing of PC version releases. In his response, Zelnick noted that Take-Two aims to release its projects on all platforms where there is a "significant audience."
Zelnick then continued, emphasizing the importance of the PC platform:
Our company's strategy over time is to be on any platform where there is a significant audience. However, this is not always the case, and, of course, if some platforms ceased to be promising, we could change our approach. And I would like to note that PC is becoming an increasingly important platform for our company over time.
Also, Strauss Zelnick recently spoke about the importance of advertising Grand Theft Auto VI. The need for additional game promotion is not always understood not only by ordinary players — questions also arise among Take-Two investors.
