"The Diary of a Middle-Aged Sage's Carefree Life in Another World" Gets First Trailer and Premiere Date

YANCHESTER studio, known for "Great Teacher Onizuka" and "Noragami Aragoto," is responsible for the production.

Kadokawa unveiled the first teaser trailer for the anime "The Diary of a Middle-Aged Sage's Carefree Life in Another World" and revealed the premiere date – the adaptation of Kotobuki Yasuki's light novel will begin airing in January 2027.

The story follows 40-year-old farmer Satoshi Osako, who, after death, is reborn in another world in the body of his game character – the great sage Zelos Merlin. Possessing immense magical power, the hero wants to give up adventures and live peacefully on a farm, but the new world constantly draws him into other people's problems.

YANCHESTER studio is responsible for the anime's production. Takayuki Inagaki is directing, and Mariko Fujita is designing the characters. The main character, Zelos Merlin, will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, known for his roles as Gintoki in "Gintama" and Joseph Joestar in "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure."
