At the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair, the creators of the full-length anime "Witch on the Holy Night" announced a special broadcast to be held on September 30. During the broadcast, the creators will present the final 90-second trailer and share new information about the film.
"Witch on the Holy Night" is an anime adaptation of the visual novel Witch on the Holy Night by TYPE-MOON, written by Kinoko Nasu, author of "Fate/stay night" and "Tsukihime."
The plot tells the story of an ordinary guy from the countryside, Soujuurou Shizuki, who moves to the snowy city of Misaki and accidentally witnesses real witchcraft. Now he has to live under the same roof with two witches – the arrogant Aoko Aozaki and the mysterious Alice Kuonji, who decide what to do with the person who discovered their magical secrets.
The production is handled by ufotable studio, known for "Demon Slayer" and anime in the Fate universe. The premiere of "Witch on the Holy Night" in Japanese cinemas will take place on November 20, 2026. International distribution will begin in January 2027, but there have been no announcements about screenings in Russia yet.
