"This is just the beginning": Nintendo talks about the future of Switch 2

After nearly 20 million Switch 2 units sold and the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, Nintendo stated that the console's current success is just the beginning of the company's ambitious plans.

Nintendo is currently experiencing a successful period: the Switch 2 has become the fastest-selling gaming system in US history, and almost a year after its release, its sales are approaching 20 million. Devon Pritchard, COO of Nintendo of America, stated:

We are at the beginning of the Nintendo Switch 2 journey. This is just the beginning, and we already have wonderful projects, both our own and from third-party companies.

Pritchard also noted Nintendo's success in the film industry. The Legend of Zelda film, co-produced with Sony Pictures, will be released at the end of April. According to her, the company is particularly interested in partnerships that will allow it to introduce its projects not only to current players but also to new audiences.

There is more content now than ever before, and it's available 24/7. That's why it's often said that we compete for consumers' time. And Nintendo is focused on creating experiences that build relationships for generations.
