"The Embodiment of Greed": EA Sports FC 27 Receives Mixed Reviews on Steam
The regular release of EA Sports FC 27 on PC, as well as PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, is scheduled for September 25. However, purchasers of expanded editions received early access a week earlier.
Users on Steam had the opportunity to leave their reviews for the game, and so far, EA Sports FC 27 has received "mixed" reviews, with a rating of 57% after almost a thousand reviews.
Users point to technical issues. For example, there are slowdowns, and in some cases, the game does not launch. One community member, Mvqk, shared their experience:
As soon as the shaders load, a black screen appears. This is not a problem with my PC, as I have run games like Rocket League, EA Sports FC 26, Black Ops 3, Black Ops 7, Warzone — no problems, no delays, and now I just can't launch FC 27.
There are also complaints about gamepad issues (sometimes they can disconnect for a few seconds), and some users complain that the game was released unfinished, and call EA Sports FC 27 "the embodiment of human greed":
A whole year goes into developing a game that somehow turns out worse than the previous installment. The gameplay is terrible, the graphics haven't changed, and matches still resemble a tennis game: neither team holds the ball for more than 10 seconds. EA should be ashamed that this is all they are capable of. Every year we are told that they "listened" to us and will make changes, and we, like ****, buy this game again and again.
