Marvel's Wolverine started weaker than Spider-Man 2 and Ghost of Yotei - initial sales data

Marvel's Wolverine's physical launch in the UK was the third-largest among PS5 games in 2026: 60% worse than Spider-Man 2, and slightly weaker than Ghost of Yotei.

Marvel’s Wolverine showed the third largest start among PS5 games in the UK in 2026 for physical copy sales, trailing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by 60% and slightly behind Ghost of Yotei.

Resident Evil Requiem and 007 First Light showed the best results, while Wolverine surpassed Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.

Compared to other major PlayStation games, the figures look more modest: Marvel’s Wolverine disc sales were 60% lower than Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the launch was slightly weaker than Ghost of Yotei.

There is also a positive aspect: the physical version of Wolverine almost tripled the result of Death Stranding 2. However, this only refers to disc sales in the UK. Without digital data, it is impossible to assess the full scale of the game's launch, as sales in the PlayStation Store can significantly change the picture.
