The source described the film as “if “Thunderbolts,” “X-Men: First Class,” “Batman v Superman,” and “The Breakfast Club” had a baby.”

There is no official confirmation of this information, so such rumors should be treated with caution. The comparison itself may hint at a combination of team dynamics, teenage drama, and conflicts between heroes, which is suitable for a story about a new generation of mutants.

Jake Schreier (“Thunderbolts”) will direct the new X-Men. The cast includes Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Asa Germann as Angel, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Essex, known as Mister Sinister.
