Predictably, Japan became the largest market for the game.

The geolocation-based Monster Hunter Now has generated $336.9 million in three years since its release. These figures are provided by the analytical company AppMagic, which takes into account player spending in Google Play and the App Store.

The game earned most of this amount in its first year. Monster Hunter Now was released on September 14, 2023, and brought in more than $30 million in its first month alone. It took just over six months to cross the $150 million mark, and by its first anniversary, revenue reached $219.7 million — about 65% of the total amount.

In its second year, Monster Hunter Now generated $67.3 million — 69% less than in the first. In the third year, revenue decreased by another 26% to $49.9 million.

AppMagic's statistics do not account for the gradual shift of the audience to the official Monster Hunter Now online store. In-game currency is sold there at a more favorable rate, and some bundles are not available in the mobile application at all. Therefore, the actual decline in player spending may not be as significant as AppMagic's data suggests. The developers do not share separate statistics on sales through the online store.
