The comedy action game Trover Saves the Universe from the creators of High on Life suddenly disappeared from digital stores

The game was released in May 2019.

The comedy action-platformer Trover Saves the Universe has, without any warning, ceased to be sold in digital stores. The game is no longer available for purchase on Steam, Epic Games Store, Meta*, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo.

Users of the ResetEra forum noticed the project's disappearance. Meanwhile, SteamDB shows that on Monday, the "app_retired_publisher_request" flag was activated for the game. This flag is used on Steam when a publisher or developer requests to "retire" a game from sale.

The developers from Squanch Games did not warn players in advance about the upcoming removal of the game from sale. The company has also not yet explained the reason for the decision on its official platforms. Thus, it is currently unknown whether the disappearance of Trover Saves the Universe is related to licensing issues, publishing agreements, or other circumstances.
