Weta Workshop has opened pre-orders for the Great Goblin statue from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," made of polystone and polyurethane. It can currently be purchased for $179 (14,982 rubles).
This collectible, whose digital model was created by sculptor Daniel Holland, reproduces the character's gruesome anatomy with astonishing accuracy. Using Weta Workshop's archival materials from the filming of the movie trilogy, the artist meticulously conveyed the Great Goblin's sickly, flabby skin and his formidable, massive figure.
The masterful detailing of the paintwork makes the grotesque sculpture even more realistic: pale folds, bluish undertones, and unhealthy yellowness literally breathe life into this creature.
The image is complemented by the ruler's primitive regalia: a bone crown on his distorted head, a gnarled wooden staff with a composite skull, and withered trophies on his belt — grim evidence of past massacres.
The character stands on a crooked wooden platform, bound with ropes and strewn with bones, which serves as an ideal pedestal for the self-proclaimed king.
The new item is 14 cm high, 11.5 cm wide, 10.5 cm deep, and weighs 0.52 kg. Shipping of the figurine will begin in the first quarter of 2027.
