Fans were able to find out the true scale of the map in Grand Theft Auto VI - it's almost twice as large as in Grand Theft Auto V

While these are all speculations, no one has any reason to doubt that the in-game map will be simply huge.

A fan comparison of the GTA VI and GTA V maps gives a better idea of the scale of the new Vice City. A Reddit user under the nickname HawkGuy published a video in which the contours of Los Santos are superimposed on a reconstructed map of Vice City. As a result, the city from GTA V occupies only a part of the territory shown for GTA VI.

According to fan measurements, the area of Vice City, excluding water bodies, is about 16.6 km² - approximately 4.07 × 4.07 km. For comparison, the similar figure for Los Santos is about 9.1 km², or approximately 3.02 × 3.02 km.

It is important to note that these are not official Rockstar Games data. The contours of Vice City were created based on materials from the GTA 6 Mapping project, which is engaged in fan reconstruction of the future game's map. After the game's release, the actual sizes and proportions may differ significantly.

In addition, only two directly named cities are compared. The full GTA VI map will include significantly more territories of the fictional state of Leonida, so comparing Vice City and Los Santos does not reflect the overall scale of the two games. In GTA V, beyond Los Santos, there is also the vast territory of Blaine County.

Earlier, unconfirmed reports about the size of Vice City had already appeared. One blogger, who claimed to have seen game materials behind the scenes, stated that Vice City would be about twice the size of Los Santos, and the entire agglomeration adjacent to the city would be significantly larger. Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed these figures.
