Recently, AI has already been tested for its ability to independently create games in Unreal Engine, and now the competitor Claude Opus 5.5 has surpassed the results of GPT-6 Astra in all cases of the experiment conducted by YouTube blogger Brendan Jowett.
After 60-120 minutes of work, Claude Opus 5.5 generates graphics resembling modern indie games sold on PS Store or Steam. The cost of using Opus 5.5 for two hours, when the AI independently creates 3D models in Blender, is approximately 60-70 dollars. Subscriptions are cheaper, making them comparable to GPT-6 Astra.
According to the author of the experiment, such capabilities can accelerate game development, especially considering that the production of many AAA projects takes 5–6 years.
“Opus delivers results a million times better than Astra, with much better graphics. (…) All of this is the result of just one prompt. If you spend at least a weekend or one week, the results would be even better.”
