Golden Joystick Awards 2026 Nominees Announced - 007: First Light and Big Walk Lead the Pack

The organizers of the Golden Joystick Awards 2026 have announced the list of nominees. The main leaders in terms of mentions were 007: First Light and Big Walk — each game received five nominations.

Big Walk is vying for awards in the categories of Best Audio Design, Best Indie Game, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Game Trailer, and PC Game of the Year.

007: First Light's five nominations are distributed among Best Soundtrack, Best Storytelling, Console Game of the Year, as well as acting categories. Patrick Gibson, who played James Bond, is nominated for Best Lead Performance, and Lennie James, who played John Greenway, is nominated for Best Supporting Performance.

In second place for the number of nominations is Resident Evil: Requiem with three mentions. The game is vying for awards for Best Trailer and Console Game of the Year, and Angela Sant'Albano, who played Grace Ashcroft, received a nomination in the Best Supporting Performer category.

Meccha Chameleon, Mewgenics, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Valheim, and Saros also received three nominations each.

Voting in most categories has already started and will run until October 23. Voting for the main award of the evening — Ultimate Game of the Year — will be held separately. It will be open from October 26 to 30, and the list of nominees in this category will be announced later. In addition, the jury will select winners in the Streamers’ Choice Award, Breakthrough Award, and Critics’ Choice Award categories.
