Blizzard decided to please the old-timers by launching World of Warcraft Forever. The official global release will take place on November 4th. All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription automatically received access to Forever.
Chronologically, Forever takes place in the first year of the original World of Warcraft (after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom), but the storyline and world delve into a completely new, alternative history.
