Ubisoft still has no intention of putting Beyond Good & Evil 2 to rest. Rick Godwin, a writer and narrative director at Ubisoft Bordeaux, who previously worked on Assassin's Creed Shadows, announced that he has been involved in the game's development as a consultant and project support specialist for the past few months.
For the past few months, I've been working on Beyond Good & Evil 2 as a consultant and support specialist. I'm allowed to talk about it, I checked.
Godwin did not disclose any details about the project's current state, its content, or possible release dates. Ubisoft has also not yet announced a release date.
The project's history began in 2008 when Ubisoft first unveiled Beyond Good & Evil 2. The game's full return took place at E3 2017, after which the developers showed several impressive materials, including gameplay in 2018. However, since then, the project has undergone numerous changes, leadership changes, and long periods of almost complete silence.
