CDPR revealed the size of The Witcher 3 remaster on PC and consoles

By modern standards, The Witcher 3 remaster will be quite compact.

In a few days, the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is expected. Many players are concerned about a relevant question: “how much will the remaster weigh?” on different platforms.

CD Projekt RED Community Manager Marcin Momot responded to the request and published data on the size of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster on PC and consoles on social media:

• PC (Steam) — about 45 GB (weight may vary depending on the installed language). For comparison: the current version of The Witcher 3 on Steam, including DLC, weighs a little over 57 GB.
• PlayStation 5 — 45 GB
• Xbox Series — 45 GB
• Nintendo Switch 2 — approximately 50 GB; he noted that this is “a separate product”.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered on PC and consoles is scheduled for September 29. Recently, CD Projekt RED clarified the release time of the updated version of the game.

Currently, a story expansion called Songs of the Past (or “Ballads of the Past” in Russian localization) is being developed for The Witcher 3 in collaboration with Fool’s Theory. It is planned for release next year.
