Olympus 2249 Announced - cRPG from the creators of the Russian mod Olympus 2207 for Fallout 2

News

The setting will be post-nuclear America.

An isometric cRPG called Olympus 2249 has recently been announced, developed by the Dieselship Studio team. The modders are known for the global project Olympus 2207 based on the Fallout 2 engine.

The events of Olympus 2249 will unfold in post-nuclear America, "designed in a dieselpunk setting". The developers emphasize karma (there are five to choose from), which will determine the character's path — decisions made can help unlock or block part of the content:

Actions, words, and consequences are closely linked to this choice and have a mutual influence. Some quests will become unavailable, while others, on the contrary, will only open for a specific karmic type. And it's not a fact that by the end of the journey, your character's worldview will remain unchanged.

Olympus 2249 will use a turn-based combat system: players will be able to calmly take a position and plan further actions. The authors also noted that a character is defined not only by their "karma" but also by their "peaceful specialization" (there are also five to choose from) which will help open access to new branches in dialogues and allow solving problems in alternative ways.

You can add Olympus 2249 to your Steam wishlist via the following link. The game is planned to launch in "early access" format on October 6, 2026. The authors expect the game to remain in this status for 18 to 24 months, but the terms may be revised.
