Sony has filed an application for a new Sly Cooper trademark, which currently pertains to merchandise.

Sony has registered a new Sly Cooper trademark. The application primarily concerns merchandise and does not indicate the development of a new game.

The application was filed on September 11, 2026, and covers posters, graphic novels, comics, writing and art supplies, colored pencils, folders, brushes, modeling clay, food containers, napkins, and party decorations.

The documents do not mention games, movies, or TV series, so the registration itself does not mean the return of the series with a new project. Fans have been waiting for a sequel for years, but Sony and Sucker Punch have not yet shared official information about a new installment.

The last game in the series remains Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, released in 2013 on PS3 and PS Vita. It was developed by Sanzaru Games. The last installment created directly by Sucker Punch was Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, a 2005 game for PlayStation 2.
