A week left until Maomao's return - the third season of "The Apothecary Diaries" gets a new trailer

The premiere of new episodes will take place on October 2.

The third season of "The Apothecary Diaries" received a new trailer a week before its premiere. The video features the closing theme AIYOU by Japanese musician Eve for the first time — previously, the creators also presented the opening Kumo wo Nuke Kazashimo e Watashi Dake performed by the band Yorushika.

In the third season, Maomao's new investigation will begin right at breakfast, when locusts are served at the table and the girl suspects something is wrong. Her search for answers will lead her beyond the imperial palace: first to the city streets, and then to a neighboring state. Meanwhile, Jinshi will have to take on the duties of the emperor's younger brother and deal with the omens of an impending disaster for the country.

OLM studio is responsible for the production. Akinori Fudesaka directed, Norihiro Naganuma is responsible for the series composition, and Yukiko Nakatani prepared the character design. Satoru Kosaki, Kevin Penkin, and Arisa Okehazama continue to write the music.

The third season starts on October 2 and will be divided into two cours. The second half will begin airing in April 2027. In the interim, on December 11, a full-length anime with an original story by light novel author Natsu Hyuga will premiere in Japanese cinemas.

In addition, a live-action series for Prime Video is being prepared based on "The Apothecary Diaries".
