Sunrise studio presented the first teaser trailer for the anime "Code Geass: Aspal - Star Seeker" - a new project for the franchise, timed to its 20th anniversary. The video shows a world reminiscent of medieval Europe, which has already become a topic of discussion among fans. Fans suggest that the action of the new anime will unfold either in a parallel world, or in a different historical period or region where technologies developed differently.
For now, these are just theories: the creators have not shared plot details and have not revealed the connection of "Aspal" with previous projects of the franchise.
The anime is directed by Kazuya Nomura, who worked on "Feel the Wind" and "Moriarty the Patriot". The series composition is handled by Mado Nozaki, known for KADO: The Right Answer, and the character design was prepared by artist Rolua.
Japanese sculptor and 3D modeler Yoshi, who previously worked on the design of machine life forms and flight modules in NieR: Automata, also joined the team. In the new "Code Geass" he is responsible for the design of Agarmat - presumably, this is the name of the new mech model.
"Code Geass: Aspal - Star Seeker" will be released in 2027. The exact premiere date has not yet been announced.
