News 0

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is approaching. NVIDIA has published a blog post detailing the improvements in this version of the game, as well as the technologies used:

The free update includes a re-imagined skill system, completely reworked animations, improved combat, cross-platform mod support, immersive meditation, an expanded photo mode, and much more.

Players of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster will be able to appreciate improved hair. In the original game, Hairworks was responsible for hair and fur, while the remaster uses Line Swept Sphere, which evolves its ideas. This technology is compatible with path tracing. In addition, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction will be available.

NVIDIA's blog did not specify which objects the Line Swept Sphere technology would be applied to. It is assumed that it also applies not only to character hair but also to fur.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is expected to be released on September 29 for PC and consoles. In 2027, CD Projekt RED plans to release a story expansion, Songs of the Past, in collaboration with Fool’s Theory.
