Manor Lords Publisher Not Afraid to Release Game on GTA VI Release Day - PC Gamers "Wanting to Steal Cars" Can Instead Turn Their Attention to a New Simulator
On November 19, PC gamers will be delighted not only by Devolver Digital with a new release.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The game will not be released on PC, but on that day, PC gamers will certainly not be left without new games.
At the very least, Devolver Digital will offer Volvy’s Adventure: Reslimed, and Hooded Horse, known to many for Manor Lords and Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, is preparing for the full release of Blacksmith Master.
This project was launched in Steam Early Access last year. Players are invited to take control of a medieval blacksmith shop: managing various processes — from mining ore and gems to creating and selling finished goods.
It is obvious that the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI will be a massive event and attract a lot of attention. Hooded Horse is well aware of this. In a recent publication, the publisher's CEO, Tim Bender, joked:
Are we not worried that GTA will be released on the same day? In fact, it's a strategy: people looking for a PC version of GTA VI to steal cars and shoot enemies will instead find that they actually want to manage little people shoeing horses.
He then explained that concerns about the GTA VI release are justified if it's about launching an AAA game in a similar genre. According to the manager, indie developers shouldn't worry:
Jokes aside: the GTA release will absolutely not affect the Blacksmith Master release. There will be no harm. Indie developers worry too much about their games launching simultaneously with this or that major new release. Of course, you shouldn't release your AAA game, focused on consoles and in the action-adventure genre, on November 19. But in all other cases, there's nothing to worry about.
