Six Games Playable at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 Emulator - SharpEmu Development Continues
There are still problems with launching demanding games.
Recently, the developers of the PlayStation 5 emulator called "SharpEmu" reached a new important milestone in emulation. They tested 55 games, 12 of which allowed reaching gameplay, and six were recognized as "playable" at 60 FPS.
However, at the moment, the "playable" status for SharpEmu does not mean that a specific game can be completed from start to finish. The games listed below run without serious problems, but graphical bugs or sound-related errors may occur:
- Dreaming Sarah
- Terrarium
- New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja
- Tetris Forever
- Hoa
- Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles on November 19. Some players hope that emulators will allow them to play the new Rockstar Games title before its official PC release in the future.
However, for now, this is hard to imagine. Various demanding projects, such as the Demon’s Souls remake, GTA V, or Astro Bot, currently run with significant technical problems, but sometimes tech enthusiasts already manage to achieve 30 FPS.
