After 19 years, Lost Odyssey ported to PC and Xbox 360 exclusive gets modern tech
Recently, PC players remembered Lost Odyssey again, which was released almost 20 years ago as an Xbox 360 exclusive. A developer under the nickname freefrank released an updated version of “LostOdysseyRecomp” — an unofficial PC port of the game. Builds are already available for Windows x64, as well as Linux (x64).
With version 0.7, “LostOdysseyRecomp” introduced support for modern technologies NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, as well as AMD FSR in Direct3D 12 and Vulkan.
AMD FSR 3.1.4 is available with Native AA mode, and now Lost Odyssey fully works in 21:9 Ultrawide and other screen formats. In addition, the developer freefrank continues to eliminate various technical problems and fix graphical bugs.
freefrank has published the source code of the “LostOdysseyRecomp” project on GitHub. The project is currently in an early testing stage: the developer has already tested some scenes, but has not completed the game entirely. The archive does not include copyrighted game files; players will need to provide a Lost Odyssey image.
DLSS Frame Generation and experimental Android support are expected in version “LostOdysseyRecom” 0.8.0.
