Ubisoft appears to be preparing another large-scale initiative using generative artificial intelligence. Internally, the project has been named Motherbrain — this name was discovered in recently filed trademark applications by the publisher.
According to The Game File, Ubisoft has registered several trademarks related to Motherbrain. One application mentions “downloadable computer software using artificial intelligence (AI) for creating video games and interactive content”. Another application describes an AI service for “data analysis and human interaction”, as well as research and development of software using artificial intelligence.
Ubisoft has not yet publicly discussed Motherbrain, so it is unknown whether this name represents a specific product or a whole set of internal tools.
