Infinity Ward has made a change to the Double XP (2XP) token system in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Starting with the new installment in the series, an activated token will only be consumed when the player is actively in a match.
In previous games, the 2XP timer started immediately after token activation and continued to count down in menus and while waiting for the next match to begin. The duration of such tokens could range from 15 minutes to an hour, so a portion of the bonus time was often wasted.
Infinity Ward announced the change on social media, noting that it will be part of Modern Warfare 4 from launch.
Activision previously also stated that a toggle would be added to the Warzone battle royale to disable clown outfits.
