Gears of War: E-Day sold 120 thousand copies on Steam, analysts estimate

According to an estimate by the analytical company Alinea Analytics, by the end of September, pre-sales of Gears of War: E-Day could have reached approximately 120 thousand copies and brought Microsoft more than $7 million.

For example, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 approached its release with approximately 450 thousand pre-sold copies on Steam. Gears of War: E-Day also lags behind Wardogs: at a comparable stage, the shooter had about 567 thousand copies sold and approximately three times more revenue. At the same time, E-Day is already outselling Halo: Campaign Evolved on Steam by more than two times at a similar stage.

It is important to note that these are estimates from Alinea Analytics, not official statistics from Microsoft or Valve. In addition, Steam figures do not reflect sales on Xbox and PC via the Microsoft Store, and Gears of War: E-Day will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on release day.

Gears of War: E-Day will be released on October 6. Those who pre-ordered the collector's and expanded editions will be able to start playing the story campaign as early as October 1.
