Xbox Disc to Digital Program Gets Sega Support - First Compatible Games Named

Sega has become another publisher to support Xbox Disc to Digital. Xbox Series X owners have found several Persona, Yakuza, and Sonic projects among the compatible games.

Xbox Disc to Digital will allow Xbox Series X owners to transfer a game license from a physical disc to their account, adding it to their digital library. The feature is currently being tested by Xbox Insider participants.

Sega games have already been included in the program. Users have discovered support for Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Royal, and Unicorn Overlord from Atlus; Judgment, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon Ishin, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon from RGG Studio; as well as Sonic Colors and Sonic Forces from Sonic Team.

However, not all disc games are compatible yet. Testing participants are checking individual projects, and at least 205 games are currently known not to be supported. These include Alien: Isolation, Sonic Origins Plus, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, and Valkyria Chronicles 4.
