PS Store DB was created by an enthusiast under the pseudonym Maki and has already gained widespread recognition online.

Initially, the service appeared to automate game sales rankings in the PS Store across different markets. Since Sony does not publish data on active players, PS Store DB aggregates game positions in regional bestseller charts. For example, according to its data, Marvel’s Wolverine maintains high positions a week after release, and Control: Resonant successfully launched in North America and Europe.

The site also shows 2026 game ratings based on PS Store user reviews, analyzes profiles by PSN ID and trophy history, counts hours played and the number of completed projects. The service also examines the user's library and current discounts, suggesting suitable purchases.
