Bandai Namco Apologizes for PC Version Issues of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and Promises Prompt Fixes

Owners of the game's expanded editions have already gained access to Wings of Theve.

The PC version of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has encountered problems. Players report numerous crashes, as well as issues with connectivity and the setup of flight joysticks.

Project Aces confirmed that they are aware of the complaints and are already investigating possible solutions. As temporary measures, users are advised to update their video card drivers, ensure sufficient free space on their storage drive, and check virtual memory settings.

In Steam discussions, users report crashes during intro scenes, after flight begins, and even during mission replays. In some cases, the game gives error 01 and closes before the player even gets into the cockpit.

Separate claims are related to joystick support. Owners of HOTAS/HOSAS report limited customization options and incorrect device recognition.
