Blaze Entertainment has prepared some not-so-pleasant news for retrogamers. The team announced that after careful consideration, they decided to postpone the release date of TheC64 Handheld and The Spectrum Handheld portable devices from October 15, 2026, to April 22, 2027.
This date change applies to both standard and collector's editions. During production, the developers identified aspects where the product's design did not meet Blaze Entertainment's high standards.

The team could have quickly fixed some issues and released the products in 2026, but they believe that taking this extra time is the right decision to provide users with the best possible experience.
This change will not affect Evercade Nexus — its release is still scheduled for October 30, 2026. Currently, TheC64 Handheld or The Spectrum Handheld can be pre-ordered for $129.99 (10,887 rubles).
These portable versions of Commodore 64 and Spectrum computers come with all sorts of games pre-installed. The portables feature a 4.3-inch IPS screen with 840×480 resolution, a quad-core processor (1.2 GHz), 256 MB of RAM, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a 2000 mAh battery (over 3 hours of operation), USB-C with a cable included, and a USB-A port (input/output) for an external keyboard or joystick.
