Developers shared what will appear in the game this winter and next year.

Bethesda has unveiled the next major updates for Fallout 76. In December 2026, World Pets will be released, turning animals from C.A.M.P. into full-fledged companions. Pets will level up during joint adventures, and players will be able to give them commands: stay in place, follow their owner, protect them, or attack enemies.

In spring, the Hideouts update will be released, featuring criminal lairs from which valuable loot can be obtained. Developers consider them an intermediate step between initial endgame content and raids. For experienced teams, an increased difficulty, Marked, will be provided. In addition, a player's competitor, nicknamed the Wanderer, will hunt for loot, and defeating him will bring special rewards.

In summer 2027, developers will release Raven Rock and expand the map to the southeast, towards the Capital Wasteland. The update's storyline will focus on the confrontation between two representatives of the Enclave. Bethesda positions Raven Rock as a Fallout 3 prequel, taking place almost 200 years before the events of the original.

In parallel, the studio is working on improvements to seasonal events, weather, graphics, fishing, and the first hours of the game. Developers emphasize that plans to support Fallout 76 are set for several more years.
