New Castlevania is Already Available for Free - Belmont's Curse Demo Released

Progress made in the demo version can be transferred to the full game.

Konami has released a free demo version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse from Evil Empire studio, which has been developing Dead Cells for several years. The initial chapter can be tried on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and the progress made can then be transferred to the full version.

The events of Belmont’s Curse unfold in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. The city is overrun by monsters, which Trevor Belmont and his daughter Rose, the main character of the new game, confront.

Rose will use her signature whip not only in battles but also for exploring levels: with its help, she will be able to swing and overcome obstacles. The heroine seals defeated bosses into Tarot cards and gains their abilities. Among the enemies, she will encounter Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and Joan of Arc.

The full version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be released on October 15, 2026.
