Ex-Escape from Tarkov Developers Show Cyberpunk Shooter Rush is Real, Inspired by Russia and Asian Culture

News

The developers are expected to present a truly unique visual style.

Recently, Nomion Games studio reminded about its project called Rush is Real, whose creative director is Jean Tyulegenov — a former game designer of the extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov.

The developers published a concept teaser for Rush is Real on social media and talked about creating an original visual style. It will combine cyberpunk and brutalism, Asian and Eastern European motifs, as well as a grounded vision of the future based on “raw concrete, massive architecture, and layered environments”:

I don't want the game to look like another copy of Cyberpunk or something like that. I think we are creating a completely new style — not only in the gaming industry, but in visual arts in general.

Concepts and other materials for Rush is Real are published on social media in the @rushisreal account and the project's art director @space_meerkat. The game currently has no specific release date or window.

space_meerkat plans to travel to China and Russia this year to draw inspiration for working on Rush is Real.
