GTA VI Fans Outraged: Influencer Gifts Deemed More Interesting Than Collector's Edition

Rockstar's gift sets for influencers featuring GTA VI merchandise have sparked discontent among some fans, who found them more appealing than the game's $400 Collector's Edition.

On September 25, Rockstar officially unveiled the Grand Theft Auto VI Collector's Edition, priced at $400, notably without the game itself included. The set features special Oakley glasses, an alligator figurine, T-shirts, and other accessories.

A few days later, the company began sending gifts to influencers within the GTA community. The boxes contained T-shirts, bags, and a money clip, items not yet available for purchase.

Some players quickly compared both sets and stated they would prefer to receive the influencer gifts.

“This is better than the Collector's Edition. Congratulations,” one player wrote under TmarTn's post.

Another fan stated that they “would prefer this over the Collector's Edition.” Yet another admitted: “Yeah, I think I'm canceling my Collector's Edition order.”

Some items from the gift sets previously appeared in a leak related to the Rockstar website, so they may become available for general sale in the future. The company has not yet officially confirmed this.
