Crimson Desert Fan Introduces Seasons System - Time of Year Will Change During Playthrough
Seasons not only bring visual changes but also affect weather and temperature.
Recently, an enthusiast under the nickname Khione95 introduced a modification for Crimson Desert Enhanced that adds a full-fledged seasons system to Pywel. Four seasons will follow the in-game calendar and change “on the fly.”
Trees, grass, and the earth's landscape will change. Winter will bring snow, as well as real cold, as the time of year also affects the temperature. In addition, each season has its own weather, for example, rain in autumn can start with a 50% probability, and in spring — 30%, and their duration will differ.
The in-game year starts in summer, and by default, seasons last for 30 days, but players can choose 3, 7, 14, 45, 60, or 90 days in a special menu.
In summer, the temperature is 4 degrees higher than in the base game. In spring — 6 degrees colder, in autumn — 8 degrees, and in winter — 24 degrees. The developer clarified that it will be “cold, but not deadly”:
In the distant northern snowy mountain region, the original cold from the base game is preserved. Days are warmer than nights, and you can still warm up by the fire.
The “Seasons of Pywel” modification for Crimson Desert Enhanced is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
Currently, Pearl Abyss studio is working on the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion. You can add the DLC to your wishlist on Steam via the following link — the release will take place a little later than originally expected.
