Inspired by the epic events of Tolkien's books, The Lord of the Rings: The King's Gambit puts players in command of a massive battle unfolding on multiple fronts. While the forces of Mordor descend upon Minas Tirith, the Rohirrim arrive at the Pelennor Fields. Elsewhere, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli fight their way through Pelargir, attempting to bring reinforcements. And all this time, Frodo and Samwise continue their desperate journey through Mordor.

This game combines key moments into one colossal board game adventure. Each player must divide their attention between multiple fronts, strategically playing cards, rolling dice, and making difficult decisions about where to direct their forces and when to take risks. Victory on one front can open new opportunities elsewhere, but leaving another battlefield undefended can have catastrophic consequences.
