The second season of the anime "The Detective Is Already Dead" will begin airing today, October 7. New episodes will be available on Crunchyroll simultaneously with the Japanese premiere, which will take place at 3:30 PM Moscow time. Before the season's start, the creators published a new poster, and earlier presented a preview of the first episode, "Let's Meet Again".
The continuation will return to the story of Kimihiko, the former assistant to detective Siesta. Together, they traveled the world for three years, investigating dangerous cases, until another confrontation ended in the girl's death. A year later, a new assignment forced Kimihiko to take up the investigation again and try to find out the circumstances of his partner's death. As the official description states: "The detective is already dead. The truth about her death has been revealed. But it's too early for an epilogue."
ENGI studio is once again responsible for the production. The first season was released in 2021. The anime is based on Nigozyu's light novel series with illustrations by Umibozu, which has been published since November 2019.
