SHUG Pre-Order Coming to Russia: A Crazy Board Game in the Spirit of Munchkin and Monty Python

Users in Russia should slowly prepare for the pre-order opening of the board game SHUG, where they will have to complete funny and sometimes crazy tasks, meet monsters and peasants, look at interesting art, and cause mischief to quickly defeat the evil king.

GaGa Games publishing house announced that its next pre-order will be SHUG — a crazy board game for 1–6 players, dedicated to the adventures of peasants in glorious Ingland.

Players will have to roll dice, wander across a vast map, complete tasks from capricious monsters, fight (or befriend) them, and battle other peasants, as well as search for Shug — a skilled diplomat and mysterious monster — to defeat the evil King Karl the Damned.

This project looks like a fever dream of some folklorist or children's fantasies that have taken shape. To be more precise, the game was created by brothers Rufus and Luke when they were 10 and 7 years old. They invented and drew absolutely everything that can be found in SHUG.

No neural networks, just pure creativity. And for over two decades, the brothers have been perfecting SHUG, playing with friends and family. And now, board game enthusiasts worldwide have appreciated the game: on Kickstarter, with the help of 20,172 backers, it raised £1,481,108 (167,028,696 rubles).
