"Give it another chance": For the first time in 8 years, an update for the survival game Novus Inceptio has been released - the game has been in Steam Early Access for 11 years

News

The creator of the game Novus Inceptio, which was released on PC on Steam in early access back in 2015, recently reminded everyone of its existence. For the first time since 2018, he released update "0.60.008" for the game and addressed the players.

He explained that over the years he tried several times to return to working on Novus Inceptio, but obstacles constantly arose:

Life constantly led me in another direction, and I could not fully resume development. When I finally got back to the game, I decided to work in silence so as not to make promises I couldn't keep again, and waited for the moment when the first update would truly be ready.

Now the game world covers an area of about 64 square kilometers (instead of 9) of continuous wilderness. Players are given maximum freedom for construction, with only a few fixed objects in the world - the starting zone and the "Towers of the Creators". Currently, Novus Inceptio is a single-player game, but the developer admits that a cooperative mode will appear "someday".

The creator of Novus Inceptio asks players to give his project another chance:

Please give Novus another chance. This is not a next-gen game for the most modern PCs. The graphics have aged, but not as much as it might seem. In the 2015 world, the forest still has a pleasant atmosphere (and I enjoy being there myself). The game will no longer compromise or "hold your hand" for higher sales or positive reviews. Reviews are a separate topic: negative ones will not just disappear, people will not delete them now, nor probably in the future. So now I'm doing this primarily for myself and for a few loyal fans. So just give it a try ;)
