No Longer an Extraction Shooter: Canyons Gameplay Trailer Released
Developers are gradually moving towards release.
Recently, RedRuins Softworks studio and HypeTrain Digital publisher reminded about the Canyons project. Developers published a trailer with a selection of gameplay footage.
The authors position Canyons as a cooperative PvE third-person shooter. It will be possible to play alone or in a company of up to four players.
The developers of Canyons will offer players to take control of giant Crawlers, build settlements, and conquer a brutal procedurally generated world full of animated creatures, insane fanatics, and “other pleasant things”:
A world once full of water, life, and developing technologies – fell from the Awakened! A fusion of living and non-living. No one knows where they came from, but their power grows... On the ruins of the old world, a new force emerged - the Order of the Double Cross. Armed with unwavering faith and relics of the past, the Crusaders learned to conclude Sacred Blood Pacts with particularly strong Awakened and take control of their mysterious power. Now the fate of the world depends only on the warriors of the Order and their allies!
You can add Canyons to your Steam wishlist by following this link. The game does not yet have a specific release date: it is scheduled for November 2027. The game will be available not only on PC, but also on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S consoles.
It is noteworthy that up to a certain point, Canyons was promoted as an extraction project. Over time, its market positioning changed.
