Players Laughed at Marvel's Wolverine - Insomniac Had to Fix a Controversial Mechanic
After criticism and jokes from players, Insomniac Games added an option to Marvel's Wolverine to disable bright scent trails during cutscenes, and also fixed bugs.
Insomniac Games has added an option to Marvel’s Wolverine to disable scent trails during cutscenes after player criticism.
The system is supposed to help Logan track enemies by finding important objects, and the bright colored trails in the air became a subject of jokes. Players asked for the ability to completely disable them.
Previously, Insomniac allowed players to hide collectible trails and reduced their visibility. Now, Marvel’s Wolverine has a “Hint” option that allows scent trails to be toggled on and off during story episodes.
Together with previous updates, players now have more control over the visibility of scents, audio cues, and Nightmare Roots — in accordance with community feedback.

The update also fixes several bugs and issues that sometimes led to crashes.
