Marvel is preparing a zombie army - three Halloween specials of "Marvel Zombies" announced

At New York Comic-Con, Marvel announced three special episodes of the animated series "Marvel Zombies". Starting in 2027, they will be released on Disney+ every Halloween for three years. Brian Andrews, who worked on the first season and the series "What If...?", will once again serve as director.

The first one viewers will see is "Marvel Zombies: Winter Soldier". According to Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television and Animation, the special episode will explain where Bucky Barnes was during the events of the first season, and will also bring several major surprises.

In 2028, "Marvel Zombies: Fist of Khonshu" will be released, and in 2029, "Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian". Details of their plots are not yet known, although the title of the second special refers to Khonshu, the patron of Moon Knight, who is played by Blade in the zombie universe.

Meanwhile, the second season of "Marvel Zombies" is already in development, as Winderbaum previously reported. In August, director Seth Kearsley, known for the animated film "Eight Crazy Nights", joined the project. Marvel has not yet specified how the new specials are related to the continuation of the series and when the second season itself will be released.
