It was known even before the premiere that "Avatar: Seven Sanctuaries" would have two seasons, but Paramount+ decided not to stop there. On October 9, the day the first episodes were released, the animated series was immediately renewed for its third and fourth seasons. This was announced at New York Comic-Con by franchise creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.
The events of "Seven Sanctuaries" unfold after the events of "The Legend of Korra". The world has experienced a devastating cataclysm, after which people began to consider the Avatar a threat, not a protector. Earthbender Pavi learns that she has become the new incarnation of the Avatar, and together with her twin sister Nisha, tries to uncover the mystery of her origin and save the last bastions of civilization.
When the new seasons will be released is still unknown. Paramount+ has not even announced the premiere date for the second season, while the first will conclude on October 30.
