Donated a Million Dollars to Raid: Shadow Legends and Regretted It - Gamer Criticizes Developers for Devaluing Progress

News

The developers' approach to Raid: Shadow Legends' development made him question the advisability of further financial support.

The free-to-play game Raid: Shadow Legends offers many options for donations. A top player known as JustPanda, who leads the game's rankings, recently decided to completely stop further financial investments in the project.

The reason was the devaluation of his years of progress. Some decisions by the developer studio Plarium forced the long-time fan to reconsider his attitude towards Raid: Shadow Legends.

JustPanda has already invested over a million dollars into his account over six years of active play. His account is considered the strongest, with over 168 million combat power points.

The Man Who Spent MILLIONS on RAID

In a recent interview with the author of the specialized YouTube channel “ASH: RAID Shadow Legends,” JustPanda outlined his position. The key reason for his dissatisfaction was the appearance of a new artifact set – it turned out to be so versatile and powerful that it essentially replaced old equipment. Previously, JustPanda spent a lot of time and resources on farming, but now a publicly available powerful set has appeared that negates his past expenses:

[...] in 6 – 9 months, a new account can get roughly the same equipment as mine. And, to be honest, I understand that the developers want to equalize chances, but from my perspective – a person who spends money – it's not entirely fair.

Raid: Shadow Legends is available not only on mobile devices but also on PC. The game has been available on Steam for several years.
