Valve recently released a major update for Deadlock, City Never Sleeps. The developers introduced an updated version of the map and added six new heroes, which are gradually being introduced into the game.

This release attracted increased attention from players. Gradually, Deadlock's online presence on Steam began to grow, and in October, the game set a new record: peak online players exceeded 262 thousand.

As a result, Deadlock managed to break the record of the free-to-play Team Fortress 2 — the game's peak online was 253,997 players during the release of the 2023 summer update.

Earlier this year, Team Fortress 2 received its traditional Halloween update. Players can complete tasks to level up the 'Cursed Gargoyle' and also get new cosmetic items from cases.
